About Us
Our History
Oster Engineering, which is based in Germiston, Gauteng, South Africa, was established in 1994 when we purchased the stud and anchor division of Morganite Refractory Industries. After a humble beginning, the business grew steadily and has undergone dramatic expansion and development over the past years. We have become one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of weld studs and refractory anchors in South Africa.
Progress
We became aware that we had untapped production capacity and as our market share grew we became financially stronger. The company succeeded in increasing production and sales to utilize this increased capacity. We continue to set ourselves higher targets in manufacturing and efficient delivery of refractory anchors and weld studs. This strategy has served us well and we are able to establish ourselves as a trustworthy and reliable manufacturer and supplier. This has earned us the respect of the industry.
Achievements
By 2004, we were able to make inroads into the large company refractory market where we had not operated previously. Our perseverance was rewarded within a short period of time, and we were able to become registered vendors to the largest companies in South Africa. Our products are installed in the steel, chrome, petrochemical and cement industries and have a broad range of applications in boilers and furnaces.
